Beth White: Seasoned Psychotherapist in Little Rock

As a clinician who specializes in the treatment of anxiety, self-esteem concerns, phobias, and Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD), I frequently work with adults who have experienced  stressful life events such as relationship abuse, interpersonal violence, traumatic medical events, sexual abuse, car accidents, combat trauma.  I regularly provide education and training about trauma recovery/treatment to other clinicians and the greater community.

Prior to establishing my private clinical practice, I served as clinical director and a lead therapist with two interdisciplinary clinics in central Arkansas.  I also worked for several years as a full-time therapist on the PTSD Clinical Team at the Central AR Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS).  While at  CAVHS, I coordinated and provided treatment in the Military Sexual Trauma Recovery Program.

I'm clinically trained and proficient in the most proven treatments for anxiety, PTSD, depression and other mental health challenges. I'm a certified EMDR provider and certified in Cognitive Processing Therapy for PTSD (CPT). I have been rated as having expert knowledge and proficiency in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). I'm also certified in providing telehealth therapy (virtual/distance psychotherapy) and have offered HIPAA-compliant video therapy since 2013.

I'm an Expressive Arts Therapist as well; promoting the use of creative expression with

clients who are open to more non-verbal processing. I received my expressive arts therapy training at Expressive Arts Florida Institute. I'm also pleased to be able to supplement therapies with mindfulness interventions and other holistic wellness approaches.

I maintain an evidence-based and humanistic perspective, believing in the inherent potential

for growth and healing in each of us. I'm committed to providing a safe and supportive environment in therapy, so my clients may feel secure in taking steps to reclaim or enrich their lives.

I am particularly interested in the mind-body connection, the healing impact of nature, post-traumatic growth, mindfulness, and gender issues. I enjoy being with my family and  spending time in nature. Hiking, camping, and photography top my list of favorite outdoor activities. My personal wellness practices also include meditation, journaling, and art-making.
