Hope, Healing, and Growth
Have you decided it's time to release those old limiting beliefs and learn to love yourself wholeheartedly? Are you giving so much of yourself to others or to your work that you have little left in the tank for you? I'm glad you're here. I help people with experiences like these every day.
My Areas of Specialty Include:
Proven Therapies
I use the most research-proven treatments for anxiety, self-esteem concerns, PTSD, depression, and other life challenges. The therapy I most frequently provide is EMDR (Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), however I do occasionally use other highly effective therapies in treatment, such as CPT, ACT, and IFS-informed parts work. My advanced certifications include being a Certified EMDR Therapist, Certified CPT Provider, and having been rated as having "expert knowledge and proficiency" in ACT.
Holistic Approach
Because of the amazing interconnectedness of our mental, emotional, physical, social, and spiritual health, I also promote a holistic view of wellness. My clients often report that learning body-based coping techniques and the somatic work that we do in session are game changers for them! I'll provide a variety of holistic wellness strategies in treatment to help you reach your therapy goals more quickly and effectively.
More About My Experience
I'm a compassionate clinician with more than 16 years of experience as a psychotherapist. I currently provide therapy primarily with women seeking more self-acceptance/self-confidence and individuals recovering from trauma, but I do accept clients with other experiences and backgrounds. Prior to establishing my solo private practice, I served as a clinical director and a lead therapist with an interdisciplinary therapy and wellness clinic in Little Rock, AR. I also worked for 6 years as a full-time clinician on the outpatient PTSD Clinical Team at the Central AR Veterans Healthcare System (CAVHS). While at CAVHS, I served as the Military Sexual Trauma (MST) Recovery Program Coordinator and developed the most comprehensive MST treatment program in the nation. However, providing direct, individual treatment with MST survivors was the most rewarding work of my VA career. I've worked with at-risk youth in dating violence prevention groups and anger management, and began my career working with women who experienced relational trauma, providing individual therapy, group therapy, and parenting classes.
Clinically, I'm particularly interested in the healing power of nature, neuroplasticity / brain remodeling, chronic pain recovery, recovery from narcissistic abuse, and gender issues. In my free time I can be found spending time with my family, traveling, hiking with our dogs, camping, and resting.
